On 2025-12-03, Society of Hackers had its first ever SANS Holiday Hack Party. Two Best Hackers were crowned - Greyfox, for doing the most hacks and the most difficult hacks, and Tao Neuendorffer, for learning the most throughout the competition.
On 2025-11-05, in her presentation “Computer Vision and AI in Security”, Abby Magistro examined the risks and opportunities which these powerful tools present for cybersecurity programs, and how they may best be developed and used to ensure privacy, transparency, and accountability for all.
On 2025-10-01, Gloria Ma shared valuable insights from “My Experience with SANS GFACT/GSEC/GCIH”, prompting a discussion about SANS, certifications, the hiring market, and the nuances between developing one’s skillset and developing one’s career.
On 2025-09-03, our first meeting, Tao Neuendorffer spoke of how “Ladies Return to Cybersecurity”, or rather, how women were present at the beginning of the industry and never left.
